If you’re in the mood for a fulfilling but simple meal, you have to try this easy fried rice with beef and Chinese sausages! If you’re not familiar with Chinese sausages, you are in for a real treat! These can be found at your local oriental market or Wal-Mart.

Growing up, you could almost bet that these would be in our fridge. It was commonly eaten along with jasmine rice whenever we needed a quick meal which was so satisfying to me. I love the sweetness in these sausages although I’m not entirely fond of the oiliness.
However, I’ve come to learn that the oily aspect really adds a nice flavor to the fried rice. I wasn’t aware of adding these sausages into fried rice until I met a childhood friend who was Chinese. This style is how her family would make their fried rice, which I obviously grew to love!

Easy Fried Rice with Beef & Chinese Sausage

- 4 cups of jasmine rice, cooked 
- 1/2 lb of sirloin steak, sliced 
- 3 Chinese sausages, sliced 
- 6 large eggs, scrambled 
- 3-4 stalks of green onions, chopped 
- Vegetable oil 
- Fried garlic 
- For the steak:
- 1 tsp of sugar 
- 1/2 tsp of MSG 
- 1/4 tsp of salt 
- 1/8 tsp of black pepper 
- For the rice:
- 3 tbsp of soy sauce 
- 3 tbsp of fish sauce 
- 1 1/2 tsp of sugar 
- 1/2 tsp of MSG 
Directions
- Prep meats: slice the sausage and steak.  
- Heat a large pot over medium-low heat and add 4 tbsp of vegetable oil. After 2 mins, add 1 tbsp of fried garlic and stir. 
- Then add steak and sugar, black pepper, msg and salt. Let it cook until the steak is medium-well. 
- Add in Chinese sausages and stir well. Let it cook for 2 mins. 
- Heat a small frying pan over medium-low heat and add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Then add eggs and scramble until cooked.  
- Add cooked jasmine rice into pot with steak and sausages, stir evenly. Then add: 3 tbsp of fish sauce, 3 tbsp of soy sauce and green onions, 1 1/2 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of MSG. 
- Add in scrambled eggs, stir well. 
- Turn stove off and serve. Enjoy!
